Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards was indicted Friday on charges that he gave campaign money to his mistress to cover up the affair. An attorney for Edwards – whose wife died last year of cancer – said Edwards will fight the charges. If he is convicted, Edwards faces 30 years in prison and a fine of $1.5 million.
