The Summerfest vendor numbers collected by the Chamber of Commerce show a good turnout for Sleepy Eye’s 2025 town days. Chamber director Christina Andres said that while the numbers are slightly down from the previous year, this reflected an overall trend for other local festivals.
The Sleepy Eye FFA chapter would like to recognize a select group of distinguished members who donated much of their time to the Ag. Program and community throughout the summer. These 45 members were named the 2025 Sleepy Eye FFA Summer All-Stars.

Considering the staggering number of moving parts that are involved in planning a town event as big as Sleepy Eye’s Summerfest, it seems incredible when neither heat nor humidity nor sudden showers can derail what can only be described as a hog-gone good time.
From the Summerfest Facebook page: We’re sad to share that the Little Crow Water Ski Team will not be performing at Summerfest 2025. After much deliberation and with deep regret, their board decided the potential health risk to skiers—due to the waxing and waning presence of blue-green algae in our lake—was simply not worth it.
