St. Mary’s Elementary focuses on a different virtue each month and acknowledges students who demonstrate that virtue. During September, the virtue was faith. These students were selected by their teachers because of how they demonstrate the virtue of faith.

Sleepy Eye is so blessed with the programs we have available in our schools. Programs like Junior Achievement, Sleepy Eye FFA, YES Team, and the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, which are quietly transforming the lives of local students. Together, they form powerful opportunities, mentorship, and real-world experience — preparing young people not just for graduation, but for life.
A man suspected of perpetrating a fatal hit-and-run was arrested in Sleepy Eye on Friday, Sept. 26.
