The Sleepy Eye school board approved a naming rights policy during its Oct. 8 meeting. The policy will allow the school to receive long-term financial assistance in exchange for the opportunity to name rooms, buildings, fields, gardens and other approved facilities after sponsors.
Although it ended in a loss for Sleepy Eye United, the Friday, Oct. 3 homecoming game at St. Mary’s, against the state-ranked Springfield Tigers, showed SEU’s grit.
The St. Mary’s Knights played the Sleepy Eye Indians at Sleepy Eye on Tuesday, Sept. 30 as part of their homecoming week.
A rock concert typically includes great music, but it doesn’t usually add historical merit and girl power to the mix. Sleepy Eye High School’s production of the musical “The Six: Teen Edition” combines all these things and adds a healthy dose of humor to boot.
