Students study water conditions
Throughout October, 10th grade students in Mrs. Tauer’s biology class at St. Mary’s took learning beyond the classroom by participating in the River Watch program, a hands-on initiative focused on monitoring the health of local waterways. The students visited both the Cottonwood River and a nearby county ditch to collect data on water quality and environmental conditions. Working as citizen scientists, they learned how to gather and analyze real-world data while connecting classroom concepts to their local ecosystem.
