Happy Halloween from the Dyckman Free Library! Hope you were able to make our Great Pumpkin event last week, the turn out was beyond amazing and it was a great way to honor our Linus. For readers that don’t know our Linus story, I’ll give you a quick recap. Linus Mauer was born and raised in Sleepy Eye, he went on to become a cartoon instructor at the Art Instruction School in Minneapolis where Charles Schulz was teaching cartooning. Linus and Charles became good friends and Charles decided to name a character after his friend in his newly developed comic strip “Peanuts.” How cool is that!
