A snowy early-out for school on Tuesday, Oct. 20, postponed the Indians volleyball game at GFW (re-scheduled for Nov. 9).

Thursday, Oct. 22, the Indians hosted New Ulm Cathedral. They put up a good fight, but came up short.

Sleepy Eye 1  Cathedral 3  (15-25, 13-25, 25-22, 23-25)

The first two sets went Cathedral’s way pretty quickly, but the Indians dug in and didn’t give up. After an exciting third set win, the Indians came so close to forcing the fifth set, they could see it. But it wasn’t to be and the Greyhounds got the fourth set by a hair.

Game stats:

McKenna Strong got 10 kills. Kadence Hesse got 10 digs and two aces. Emma Schieffert got three kills and eight digs. Brooke Arneson had five set assists.

The Indians were scheduled to drive across town to play the Knights on Tuesday, Oct. 27, but the game was postponed. The Indians varsity team is in quarantine, due to a player from another team they played testing positive. The Indians schedule is disrupted until Nov. 7.
