When Brother Cletus Riederer arrived home from the Philippines a few days ago he brought with him a document of which he is justifiable proud. Signed by the mayor of Biliran, sub-province of Bileran, Leyte; his assistant, and members of the municipal council, the document proclaims Brother Cletus as an adopted son of the Island of Biliran, an honor that is accorded very few. Brother Cletus will return to the Philippines when his three month vacation ends.

More than half the population of Sleepy Eye was at Allison Park on Saturday, June 7, to celebrate and remember five young people from Sleepy Eye whose lives were cut short in the past year. “We couldn’t have asked for a better turn out. We were told it would be overwhelming. It is so beyond overwhelming that I can’t even believe it,” said Deb Hadley. “We are humbled and thankful from the bottom of our hearts.” The 5K Color Run honored Hadley’s daughter Kaylie, who passed away following a seizure and four teens killed in a vehicle accident: Hadley’s son Tyler, and Payton Adams, John Mangen and Caleb Quesenberry.
Three young people told the Inquiring Photographer what they would do for Father’s Day: Nora Hoffmann will take her dad swimming; Cole Eckstein will take his dad fishing; and Ezra Krzmarzick will take his dad out to eat.
