Despite battling hard and threatening often, the Knights came up short in the first game, 7-4. “We left 10 runners on base in the first game,” said Coach Wendy Owens. “We threatened, but came up short. They hit the holes early against us and we found ourselves behind early and coming up short. The girls battled, coming up with some key hits- just not enough to win.”
In the second game the Knights came away with a 6-1 win. "The girls bounced back, getting the win,” said Coach Owens. “Leah pitched well, giving up only one hit. Cathedral scored first, but we were able to tie and then put together a rally in the fourth inning to get the lead and some insurance runs to boot.”
