Local artist, Peggy A. Tauer, is hosting a show of her work, titled “Contemplation,” this Friday and Saturday at the Sleepy Eye Community Center, 115 2nd Ave. NE.

Tauer said the show will consist of paintings in watercolor, acrylic, pastel and colored pencil, along with a few photographs. In the last few years, Tauer has had works accepted at the Prairie Lakes Regional Art Show, at the Springfield Juried Art Show and at the Grand Center for Arts and Culture. Believing herself to be a lifelong learner, Tauer said she wants to continue to paint in order to satisfy her inner "art ache.”

The hours of the show are: Friday, Sept. 22, 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

This activity is made possible by an Artist Grant provided by the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council with funds provided by the McKnight Foundation.
