Santa's Workshop is back at SEMC - live reindeers and all!

Last year Sleepy Eye Medical Center invited children to meet Santa, his elves and live reindeer at their first Santa’s Workshop event. It was a huge success, with hundreds of excited children attending.

This year’s event will be on Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the lower level at SEMC. Again this year, children can see live reindeer as they arrive, visit with Santa, make holiday crafts and decorate gingerbread cookies. The children can also make holiday cards for patients.

The event also includes a way for people to give back to the community. Mikayla Mages, Community Relations Coordinator for SEMC, said families are asked to consider bringing new or gently used hats, mittens and gloves when they come to Santa’s Workshop. Donated items will go to schools in Sleepy Eye, Morgan and Comfrey. Donations can also be brought to SEMC clinics in those communities prior to the event.
