Sleepy Eye’s Avenue of Flags fly Tuesday at Home Cemetery. The memorial goes up with volunteer help on special occasions during the year with flags in honor of 500 deceased veterans. Organizer Suzanne Kral said she decided to bring out the flags this week because they didn’t get up for the Fourth of July due to weather, and to coincide with the Sleepy Eye Baseball Association and American Legion’s Military Appreciation Night on Tuesday at the ballpark.Photo by Dave Forster
