SEAHS and Depot Museum Executive Director Debbie Joramo holds a new computer the Sleepy Eye Area Historical Society was able to purchase thanks to a grant from the Carl & Verna Schmidt Foundation. The computer replaces one that was about 15 years old and did not have enough memory or power to allow the society to update the PastPerfect software that catalogs the Depot Museum’s collection of artifacts. The grant of $1,600 allowed for the purchase of the computer and the updated software. The historical society not only relies on memberships and donations to operate the museum but also applies for grants when the opportunity arises. Deb Moldaschel
