The River Valley Wildcats track team competed on Tuesday, May 10 in the True Team meet in Mapleton. The River Valley girls finished third among 15 teams and the boys finished sixth.
The Indians softball team is playing in a long home stand that started last Monday when they played both BLHS and MVL. They hosted ML/GHEC on Tuesday and Wabasso on Thursday. This week the Indians had Redwood Valley at home on Monday, have their lone ride trip to BLHS on Tuesday and will finish the regular season at home against MCW on Thursday, May 19.
The Indians baseball team put up some good offense to get nice wins last week with victories at Martin Luther/Granada-East Chain-Huntley on Tuesday, May 10 and at home against Wabasso Friday. Indians 12 ML/GHEC 4 Arian Saenz was the winning pitcher, going 4 innings with 3 hits, 2 runs, 8 strikeouts, and 4 walks.
The Knights baseball team played Martin County West on Tuesday, May 10, for a nice win at home. Knights 7 MCW 3 “We had a nice start today and then our defense stopped a MCW rally in the 7th to get a nice section game win,” said Coach Bruce Woitas.

The River Valley Wildcats continue with great results in a variety of track events. The relay teams, made up of also successful sprinters and runners, consistently outrun their opponents, racking up the points for the team. Great jumping and throwing results also add the points that keep the team at the top in their meets.
The St. Mary’s Knights baseball team played a doubleheader at Wabasso on Thursday, May 5 coming away with a split.
The Sleepy Eye United boys and girls golfers had a great week this past week. On Wednesday, May 4, SEU traveled to Oakdale Golf Club in Buffalo Lake for the first leg of the conference tournament. The Sleepy Eye United boys had their best scoring day of the year, shooting a 338 on their way to winning the first conference meet with a comfortable 20-stroke margin. Carson Erickson led SEU with a great even par round of 72, which was also first place individually among the 45 Tomahawk Conference golfers at the meet. Also contributing to the great overall team score were Jacob Schultz (83, 3rd overall), Kaleb Weiss (91, tied for 9th), and Sam Herzog (92, tied for 12th).
The Indians softball team traveled to Springfield on Thursday, May 5 and split a doubleheader. Coach Sydney Geiger said overall they were two well-played softball games for both teams.
