The Lady Knights played two games in the Section 2A softball tournament on Tuesday, May 31—a decisive win over MCW and a tournament ending loss to New Ulm Cathedral. SESM 10, MCW 0 Julia Helget was the starting pitcher, completing 4 innings.
The St. Mary’s Knights got the 6-seed in Section 2A playoffs and hosted 11-seed BLHS on Thursday, May 26, in a night game following the Indians’ game.
The Sleepy Eye Indians baseball team got the 4-seed in Section 2A and hosted 13-seed GFW on Thursday, May 26 for a first round playoff win. Indians 5 GFW 0 Jackson Huiras got the win on the mound, pitching 6 innings with 0 runs, 4 hits, 1 walk and 11 strikeouts.

Four out of five Tomahawk East League games scheduled for Memorial Day were postponed due to rain, including the Stark versus Sleepy Eye that was to be played at the Sleepy Eye Ball Park (rescheduled for July 8).
After their first round Section 2A play-off win over ML/GHEC/T on May 23, the Sleepy Eye Indians softball team moved on to a game against the 1-seed Nicollet Raiders on Thursday, May 26. Nicollet proved worthy of their seed and defeated the Indians 10-0.
After their first round Section 2A win over GFW last Monday, the Knights softball team hosted Martin County West on Thursday, May 26 for another play-off win. SESM 15 MCW 0 in four innings Pitcher Lacey Mathiowetz got the win for the Knights, allowing no runs on 3 hits, striking out 5, and walking none.
The Sleepy Eye United golf team finished the regular season with a home meet on Thursday, May 26, with a win by both the boys and girls, over GFW. Liz Schwint was medalist for the girls with a 48.
The River Valley Wildcats track and field team competed in the Sub-Section meet on Thursday, May 26, held at Sibley East. The top eight individuals and top four relay teams ad vance from Sub-Sections to the Section 2A meet at Mankato West High School on Saturday, June 4.
The Tomahawk Conference Track and Field Meet was held in Sleepy Eye on Thursday, May 19. The River Valley Wildcats, the local team with athletes from Sleepy Eye, St. Mary’s, Springfield, and Cedar Mountain schools, did well but didn’t win the conference titles, with both girls and boys coming in second behind MVL.
