Teen shoots her first 25

The Sleepy Sportsmen’s Club’s Trap Range is open each Wednesday evening. In addition to members who get together to shoot, the club welcomes non-members and youth. In fact, youth age 17 and younger get a free box of shells from the Sportsmen’s Club.

Jr. Legion splits last week

Sleepy Eye Jr. Legion baseball team played at Norwood on Monday, June 27 and got behind early as Norwood an swered Sleepy Eye’s 2 runs in the first inning with 11 runs in their half of the inning. From there, Sleepy Eye held Norwood score less and chipped away at that lead to tie it in final inning. It was a 12-11 loss in a 5 inning game.

Legion Baseball splits at home

Sleepy Eye 7, Fairmont 3 On Monday, June 20 at Sleepy Eye Baseball Park, Sleepy Eye’s Legion Post 7 took a win over Fairmont in six innings, with the game being called short due to lightning in the area. Mound duties were split between the duo of Jackson Huiras and Arian Saenz.

Sleepy Eye 14U wins Hutchinson tournament June 25

The Sleepy Eye 14U Softball Team took 1st place in the Hutchinson Class B Tournament on Saturday, June 25. They defeated Kimball 3-0 in game 1 and the MN Rockers 8-4 in game 2 before winning the championship game, 3-1 against the Rockville Rebels.
