The St. Mary’s Knights volleyball team traveled to Le Sueur-Henderson on Monday night, Sept. 26 and got another win, but it took five sets. A highlight for the team was Bella Hoffmann reaching her 1,000 set assists milestone—she needed 18 to achieve it and got 20 on the night.
The Sleepy Eye Indians volleyball team hosted the Wabasso Rabbits for their Homecoming game on Thursday, Sept. 22 and came up just short.

Cedar Mountain 16 St. Mary’s 6 With the skies clear and the wind gusting, the St. Mary’s Knights traveled to Morgan to play a midday football game against the Cedar Mountain Cougars on Saturday, Sept. 24.
At their Homecoming football game on Friday night, Sept. 23, Sleepy Eye held a 6-0 halftime lead and fell behind 7-6 to end the 3rd quarter. But in the 4th quarter things got interesting with the Indians scoring three touchdowns and coming out victorious with a 28-15 over the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds.
The River Valley tennis team hosted Sibley East on Monday, Sept. 26 and got a 4-3 win.
On Friday, Sept. 16, in front of droves of former St. Mary’s football players, cheerleaders, Knightline dancers, and pep band musicians, the Knights achieved a symbolic win over the Madelia Blackhawks in the final Homecoming game before next year’s Sleepy Eye United football coop.
The Knights volleyball team played at Springfield on Tuesday, Sept. 13 and got the 3-0 win: 25-20, 26-24, 25-17.
