St. Mary’s Catholic School held their 41st Alumni and Friends Basketball Tournament on Dec. 31. The 2005-2006 team won the tournament, defeating the 2008-14/2016 team with a score of 54-35. The Indians boys basketball team was scheduled to host Cedar Mountain on Thursday, Jan. 5, but Cedar Mountain closed school for another snow day so couldn’t play. The game was rescheduled to Friday, Jan. 6, this time at Cedar Mountain in a girls/boys doubleheader.

The Indians girls basketball team got two lop-sided victories last week, after the snow-covered roads were cleared well enough to have school again starting Thursday, Jan. 5. That night the Indians hosted Wabasso, defeating the Rabbits, 73 to 37.
The Lady Knights played at home on Thursday, Jan. 5 against MVL and got a big win, 75-29.
The Knights boys basketball team traveled to play MVL on Friday, Jan. 6, and beat the Chargers 82-74.
With a snowstorm looming, the Knights’ boys basketball game against Mankato Loyola, scheduled at home for Tuesday, Jan. 3, was moved up to Monday evening.
