Remembering Maria

The Sleepy Eye Area Fastpitch Association took the occasion of the crosstown softball games on May 4 to dedicate the south field home bench to Maria Lux, “one of Sleepy Eye’s greatest softball fans” who passed away three years ago. Pictured with the dedication plaque are members of Maria’s family, including her husband Matt, holding the plaque, and daughter Anna and son Jacob to his right. When making the presentation, Jill Weiss of the SEAFA board, mentioned the home bench on the north field had been dedicated to Duke Cook a few years ago.
