SEU girls win second leg of conference tourney
The SEU golfers played the second leg of the Tomahawk Conference Tournament on Monday, May 15 at the New Ulm Country Club. Sleepy Eye will host the third and final leg on Monday, May 22.

Wednesday, May 3, was the first of three conference tournaments, played at Oakdale Golf Club in Buffalo Lake. The next two legs are May 15 at New Ulm Country Club and May 22 in Sleepy Eye.
The River Valley Wildcats had two more great track meets last week— in St. James on Tuesday, May 2 and in Fairmont Friday.
You know the rule— when the Knights and Indians meet on a playing field you never know what might happen. That was the case when the two played a doubleheader on Thursday, May 4—splitting the games with lop-sided scores.
The Knights softball team got a win over the Springfield Tigers on Monday, May 8, at home. Knights 9, Tigers 4 Lacey Mathiowetz got the win on the mound for the Knights.
The Indians softball team bounced back from Thursday’s losses to St. Mary’s with a big home win over Red Rock Central on Friday, May 5.

The Indians baseball team hosted GFW on Monday, May 8 and nabbed another nice win. Indians 9, GFW 3 “Indians get the win,” said Coach Aaron Nesvold.
The Knights baseball team traveled to play the Springfield Tigers on Monday, May 8 and were handed a loss. Tigers 6, Knights 3 “We had a two hour weather delay after a 0-0 start,” said Coach Bruce Woitas.
The Lady Knights and Indians played a doubleheader on Thursday, May 4 and the Knights took both games. Game 1: Knights 12, Indians 2 Lacey Mathiowetz got the win for the Knights with 4 walks, 4 hits and 11 strikeouts.
