• Two EDA Business Assistance Applications that were previously approved had the notes signed and are ready for distribution. Three more applications were reviewed this week by the EDA Finance Committee and recommendations will be made to the full EDA Board on February 28.
The SouthPoint Financial Credit Union Foundation recently awarded a $3,000 grant to Junior Achievement North. The proceeds of the grant will support a Junior Achievement class in the following communities: Sleepy Eye, Hutchinson, New Ulm, North Mankato and St.

I made a suggestion to the Deb, the Herald-Dispatch Editor, to change up the format of sharing EDA information with the readers. Instead of a monthly article, that was at times somewhat lengthy and repetitious, I am going to submit a Weekly EDA Memo that will highlight a few bullet items each week that the EDA is currently involved in. Hopefully this new format will keep readers interested and abreast of the EDA activities that are going on.
