• Two EDA Business Assistance Applications that were previously approved had the notes signed and are ready for distribution. Three more applications were reviewed this week by the EDA Finance Committee and recommendations will be made to the full EDA Board on February 28.

EDA Weekly Memo

I made a suggestion to the Deb, the Herald-Dispatch Editor, to change up the format of sharing EDA information with the readers. Instead of a monthly article, that was at times somewhat lengthy and repetitious, I am going to submit a Weekly EDA Memo that will highlight a few bullet items each week that the EDA is currently involved in. Hopefully this new format will keep readers interested and abreast of the EDA activities that are going on.

A second year of success for Sleepy Eye Pond Hockey Classic

Sleepy Eye Pond Hockey Classic organizers kept the recently made ice rinks at Burnside Park in good condition with a homemade mini-Zamboni, shown here being pulled by Zach Mickleson with Sean Mathiowetz following. Lucas Heiderscheidt said the day went really well and they got a lot of positive reports. 'A big thank you to all the businesses that supported us and to all the people who volunteered their help as well,' he said.
