Celebrate the 4th of July

It wouldn’t be the 4th of July in Sleepy Eye if you couldn’t get a burger in the park and watch fireworks over the lake at night. No worries—it will be a Sleepy Eye 4th of July on Monday! The Knights of Columbus will have food and beverages at Allison Park from 11 a.m.

Motorcycle run in support of veterans stops in Sleepy Eye

The Servicemen’s Club was one of the stops on Saturday, June 25, for the 2Wheels2Heal Motorcycle Run for Mission 22, that originated in North Mankato. The run included 100 motorcycles - quite a sight on the road and in downtown Sleepy Eye. Mission 22 is an organization that supports veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and other issues. The number 22 refers to the daily loss of veterans to suicide. Submitted

A mid-summer update from SEFAC

As I write this article, we have had a stretch of hot and humid days. So, first and foremost I want to thank the 28 lifeguards for their hard work and dedication to helping us provide a pool for all of you. Also, a shout out to Matt Week of June 19, 2022 Schmidt and the Park and Rec Dept. for all the entral South Nort time they have put into making sure that the pool is working properly and looking great! As well as everyone at the city office for all you do behind the scenes to help make the pool run th Metro smoothly.
