Deb Moldaschel At the start of each school year, the Sleepy Eye Education Association honors a community member with the Sleepy Eye Friends of Education award. This year the award was presented to Kathy Haala in recognition of the many ways she contributes to the school through her dedication as a constant volunteer for over 20 years.

The All Schools Reunion, on Friday night at Sleepy Eye Brewing Company, was a resounding success. Organizers said approximately 350 former students of the local high schools attended the event. Grace Lutheran School staff As another school year kicks off, Grace Lutheran School of Sleepy Eye is marking the beginning of its sixth year. Grace Lutheran School was opened because of a strong desire to educate the next generation on the foundation of God’s Word.
Sleepy Eye FFA chapter members had many different roles at the 2022 Brown County Fair from Aug. 10 to 14. The members showcased their crop, mechanics, and livestock projects and also helped run the FFA Kiddy Barnyard and FFA shows at the Brown County Fair.
