Over 70 people were involved in the Mother- Son Snowball held at the Sleepy Eye Event Center at the end of January. It takes many hands to make this event successful. Advisory board members work behind the scenes as well as bring their children to the event. Moms, grandmas, big sisters, or special friends served as escorts for the boys, ages 3 through third grade. A number of door prizes had been donated so each child received a gift as well as a treat as they left.

Hoffmann named Chair of The National Council for Agricultural Education

Mary Hoffmann, Sleepy Eye Ag. teacher and FFA advisor, attended the National Team Ag. Ed. Inservice in Indianapolis, Jan. 2426. Hoffmann has been on The National Council for Agricultural Education board since 2020 as the National Association for Agricultural Educators (NAAE) representative. In 2021, she served as the Secretary for the Council and was the Chair-Elect in 2022.

St. Mary’s Triple “A” winners are Schwartz, Surprenant

St. Mary’s High School has announced that- Abigail Schwartz and Christian (CJ) Surprenant were selected as winners of the Triple “A” award. The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, honors high school seniors throughout the state who have a 3.0 or higher grade point average and who participate in Minnesota State High School League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities. Each school may nominate one boy and one girl for the award. Abigail and CJ are now entered in the Region 2A competition.

Happy Catholic Schools Week from St. Mary’s!

Abigail Riederer of Sleepy Eye was named to Upper Iowa University's Fall 2022 Dean's List for earning a 3.5 or higher GPA. Iowa State University announced the following students from Sleepy Eye were named to the Dean's List for earning a 3.5 or higher GPA: Allen Arneson, Kayla Schroepfer, and Alaine Steffl.
