Sleepy Eye FFA takes Ag Tour

On Thursday, June 26, 29 FFA members visited a variety of places in the surrounding communities in order to learn about each and the career opportunities within them. Paul Hendrickx, Katie Emmett (Sleepy Eye FFA Advisors), and Meta Tewes (Summer Assistant) attended the tour as well.

The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean’s lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs David Hood. Students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 GPA; students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 GPA to qualify for the Honor List. The following students from Sleepy Eye are on the High Honor List: Emily Ericksen, Adelinde Hoffmann, Kya Krzmarzick, Mckenna Larson, Abigail Schwartz; and on the Honor List: Carson Domeier, Katelyn Fromm, Maya Nelson, Jaclyn Nessett, Hannah Pelzel, Owen Weiss.

The Sleepy Eye Public School Board of Education’s regular meeting was Wednesday evening, June 11 — after this issue of the Herald-Dispatch was printed and on the newsstands. A matter of public interest was to be decided at Wednesday’s meeting.
