Jace Marotz of Sleepy Eye has been named to the Deans’ List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
In June, youth from across Minnesota gathered at the University of Minnesota Morris campus for the annual 4-H Youth Exploring Leadership and Learning Opportunities (YELLO) conference.

A cave, the SPAM museum and a metal manufacturing company were among the stops on Sleepy Eye FFA’s Summer Ag Tour.Twenty-two students plus their advisors took the trip on June 13 to learn more about the career opportunities associated with each location.The day started with a trip to Niagara Cave, a limestone cave in Harmony, Minn.
Forty-three Sleepy Eye FFA members traveled to Sibley State Park near New London June 3-6 for Timberland Leadership Camp, a getaway focused on teamwork and sharing between FFA chapters.Chapter Advisors and State Officers do all of the programming, activities and food for the camp for the week, which included a hike to Mount Tom, teamwork activities, survival in the forest, archery and sessions about writing goals and the various opportunities in FFA.
