Sleepy Eye GFWC Woman’s Club

The Sleepy Eye Woman’s Club met on July 15 at the Flo Dance Studio for a presentation by Samarah Forster. Club Members had an opportunity to watch one of her students perform a dance. Samarah explained how the studio came about and informed club members about the variety of programs offered through the dance studio. Finally, Samarah taught members of the club how to perform a simple line dance. It was a very entertaining and enjoyable program.

God’s Grace Makes us Gracious

Tomorrow is August…wait, that can’t be right. I just looked at the calendar and yes, tomorrow is August. We are hours away from the full “back to school” season. This means that confirmation, TREK (formally known as Wednesday School), and more will be beginning at Trinity in a matter of weeks.

Recent close calls highlight electric scooter safety concerns

Safety concerns regarding electric scooters have risen, according to the Sleepy Eye Police Department. In addition to privately owned scooters, Levy Electric scooters were made available to rent at Sportsmen’s Park in 2023 and can be used by anyone with a smartphone. Police Chief Matt Andres said that the department receives multiple calls per week from citizens reporting unsafe scooter activity.
