As their service project for Minnesota Honor Society, St. Mary’s students Isabella Hoffmann (left) and Sam Ibberson (right), along with the help of many volunteers, hosted a blood drive on Feb. 3 in honor of Isabella’s little cousin Alex Braulick (center, with mom Lacey). Throughout Alex’s cancer treatment he has received 10 blood transfusions and four platelet transfusions. The goal of the drive was to collect 63 units and they were able to collect 80, so it was a great success! There were 16 first time donors including Alex’s mom, some of his grandparents, and his great grandma. Submitted
