He cares for you

“Care” can be a noun or a verb, correct? “I don’t care!” indicates I am not interested in what is being discussed. “I need care” indicates I am interested in having my needs attended to by someone who is capable. “Urgent Care” is different than “Longterm Care.” “I couldn’t care less what happens” (often corrupted to “I could care less”) means little different than saying “whatever!” with an eye roll.

Beyond Reason

“Saint” Patrick’s Day Sometimes people ask me how I stay ahead of the news. Well, I have many trusted sources but I’ve been reading one publication in particular for longer than all the others.

Community Matters to the SE Lions Club

Two years ago, the Sleepy Eye Lions Club had to cancel their annual Waffle Brunch—a mainstay of the club’s fundraising efforts, which started many years ago as a pancake breakfast—an event that draws people from throughout the community. It wasn’t held last March either so the Lions’ Waffle Brunch held on Sunday, March 20, was a triumphant return.
