Stricter cell phone policy coming to SEPS

Sleepy Eye Public School is further clamping down on cell phone use by students in response to frustrations over the trouble they cause and how much they detract from learning throughout the day.Students in 7th through 12th grades will no longer be able to use their phones between classes or during mid-morning break.

The following students from Sleepy Eye were among over 1,500 students who graduated after the spring 2024 semester at South Dakota State University: Ryan Hoffman, Bachelor of Science, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Lauren Hoffmann, Cum Laude, Bachelor of Science, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Collin Ludewig, Bachelor of Science, College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions; Madeline Jo Richert, Cum Laude, Bachelor of Science in SDSU’s College of Education and Human Sciences.

60 years ago - July 16, 1964Sleepy Eye FFA competed with 45 teams from Central and Southeastern Minnesota in the 10th annual Hubbards Sunshine swine judging contest at the Hubbards Research Farm near Mankato.
