Downtown fixture calls it a career

As he heads into retirement, First Security Agency’s Ron Petersen sat down with the Herald-Dispatch to reflect on 48 years of doing business in downtown Sleepy Eye, the changes he’s seen, and one constant that still holds true when it comes to serving customers in a small town.A Sleepy Eye native, Petersen returned to work in his hometown in 1976 when he was hired to manage a new savings and loan branch in the 200 block of Main Street East.
