The Sleepy Eye Area Historical Society and Dept Museum announces the appointment of its new Museum Coordinator, Lori Hoffmann of Sleepy Eye.Hoffmann has a great interest in the history of the community of Sleepy Eye and Chief Sleepy Eye - in fact, she grew up on a farm near Swan Lake, which is Chief Sleepy Eye’s birth place and where his people lived much of the time, and she is eager to learn more about our town’s namesake.Hoffmann is excited to begin her work at the museum and with the Board of Directors of the Sleepy Eye Area Historical Society.
