Last week children were invited to make sidewalk chalk art at the library. The kids worked with New Ulm woman Kara Carlson who drew sidewalk chalk art every day for nine months during the pandemic to cheer people up. At Carlson's suggestion, the kids at the library drew art that included messages with jokes or puns. Carlson published a picture book, "A little story about Sidewalk Chalk Art" which is available at the Dyckman Free Library.
