With a disappointing season thus far, the Sleepy Eye 15s team played some of their best ball of the season in Sioux Falls this past weekend.
Post 800 won their pool and ended up playing in the semifinals on Sunday.

Sioux Falls West 4
There was no quit in Post 800 in their first game of the tourney. After trailing 4-2 going into the top of the seventh, Post 800 rallied for five runs to pull out the win in their opening game.
Max Heiderscheidt led the way for Post 800. He went 3-for-4 with four RBI in the win. Caleb Berg also added two hits and had an RBI.
Avery Stevens was stellar on the mound. He went the complete game allowing just two earned runs while striking out 14.

The comeback script was in full force in game two for Post 800. Trailing 3-2 in the sixth inning, Post 800 once again found a way to complete the comeback.
A three-run sixth inning proved to be enough as Post 800 advanced to 2-0 in pool play.
Parker Neid led the way in the leadoff spot going 3-for-3 with an RBI. Caleb Berg and Colton Gemmill each added two hits as well. Zach Haala and Carter Brinkman each added an RBI as well.
Berg got the win on the mound as well. He went the complete game allowing two earned runs while striking out five.

Omaha 4
There was no need for a comeback effort in the final pool play game for Post 800. Runs in the first and second, along with a six-run fourth inning had Post 800 heading to the semifinals.
Parker Neid stayed hot at the plate. He went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Avery Stevens had a breakout game at the plate going 3-for-5 with four RBI.
Caleb Berg and Andrick Sanchez each added two hits as well.
Jacob Berg got the win on the mound going four innings, allowing three runs which were all unearned, and struck out four.

Sioux Falls West 22, Sleepy Eye 0
Post 800 ran into a well oiled machine in their semifinal matchup. They found themselves on the wrong end of a 22-0 loss in which they didn’t manage to get a hit.
