On Saturday, May 2, the children of Arthur and Dolores Seifert gathered on the family farm to celebrate the 65th birthday of their famous siblings—the Seifert Quads—who were born at the Sleepy Eye hospital on May 3, 1950.

The four joined six siblings at home who ranged in age from three to 17 when they were born. All of their siblings, with the exception of their oldest brother Marvin, were able to come to the farm for the party.

Quad Mike’s wife Linda said, “We had a potluck meal with lots of German food and a delicious cake made by Lowell's wife, Mary Ann.” Of the quads, she said, “Monica came home from Colorado Springs for the first time in about three years. Marie came from Worthington, Martha came from Albert Lea, and Mike lives on the family farm so he did not travel at all!”

Linda said the family spent the day laughing and chatting about the past. Memories talked about were doing chores on the family dairy farm, being on display at the State Fair for three years, their many birthday celebrations with trips to the 620 Club in the cities, being on TV, attending Twins games, and playing ball for the Stark baseball and softball teams.
