At the subsection girls basketball playoff game on Monday, March 2, Sleepy Eye Public Seniors Matthew Miller and Bethany Seifert received their Subsection 2A Triple A Awards.

At the subsection girls basketball playoff game on Monday, March 2, Sleepy Eye Public Seniors Matthew Miller and Bethany Seifert received their Subsection 2A Triple A Awards. Principal Shane Laffen presented them with a plaque, medal, and letter from the Triple A Selection Committee.

Matthew and Bethany were selected as the male and female Subsection 2A winners based on their involvement in the Arts, Academics, and Athletics. To be nominated, students must have outstanding GPAs, participate in a League-sponsored athletic program and a fine arts activity at some time during their high school career.

Matthew has been a three sport athlete since 7th grade, participating in Football, Basketball, and Golf. He has also excelled with Academics, as he is ranked number one in his class. For the Arts, Matthew has been in Band throughout High School as well.

Bethany has participated in Basketball and Softball since 7th grade. She is also ranked in the top three in her class and has been very active in the Arts throughout High School. Bethany has participated in numerous school plays and musicals throughout her high school career and has been in both Band and Choir since 7th grade.
