The St. Mary's 6th graders prepared for their experience at Junior Achievement (JA) BizTown on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

BizTown is an opportunity for the students to run a “real” city for the day – from operating a bank, manufacturing various goods in the stores, delivering mail, producing a radio show and preparing food for a snack shop. Each student applied for the BizTown job that they wanted and then had the opportunity to go through the interview process.

Various local business people volunteered their time to interview the students. Mrs. Annette Lux is the 6th grade social studies instructor who organizes BizTown for the St. Mary’s students. The Sleepy Eye Lions Club provides the funding for the bus to Biz Town.
