Lions Club Student of the Month Jordan Anderson

Jordan’s school activities at St. Mary’s High School include football, where he lettered four times and was named Offensive Player of the Year, basketball, where he received four letters and was named Defensive MVP, and baseball, where he has lettered three times and received Tomahawk All-Conference.

In the community, Jordan is a basketball and baseball coach and volunteers his time at the St. Mary’s Church Festival and Kids Against Hunger. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, swimming, boating, snowmobiling, playing amateur baseball and camping.

The personal values and strengths that Jordan believes will help him succeed are his personal values and perseverance. He says he will use these strengths and values to assist him in obtaining his goals.

The greatest influence in Jordan’s life has been his uncle, Brian Mathiowetz.

“He has always been a model of hard work and he has shown me how to be a model citizen and how to make the best of the situations we are given,” Jordan said.

After high school graduation Jordan plans on attending South Dakota State University to study engineering for future work in the construction business.
