April Weber is a new, but familiar face at the Community Insurance Agency (CIA) in Sleepy Eye.

 


April Weber is a new, but familiar face at the Community Insurance Agency (CIA) in Sleepy Eye.

She began her duties as the newest agent on Monday, June 25. While this is her first stint in the insurance industry, she has spent  the past 25 years in the telephone industry.

For 18 years, April worked as the office manager for Sleepy Eye Telephone Company. From there she went to a publishing company selling yellow page advertising.

Prior to coming to CIA, April was employed at Christensen Communications Company in Madelia as their marketing manager.
“We were in need of hiring another active agent due to  agency growth and we all agreed that April was a perfect fit with her previous experience, excellent customer service qualities and professionalism,” said Joe Schieffert, owner of CIA.

“I’m excited about working back in town and interacting with people I’ve known my whole life,” April said.

While she is in the process of being licensed in property and casuality insurance, April said she prides herself and CIA on providing good customer service backed with great service products.

“I encourage people to stop in and say hello,” April said. “If anyone is interested in the services we provide here I would be happy to help with that.”?

April and her husband, Doug, have three children; a son, Mike, who is a U.S. Marine, and daughters Allie and Kabrie. She also has a five-month old grandson, Elijah.
