BROWN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given, that the Brown County Planning Commission, in and for the County of Brown, will conduct certain public hearings as follows:

1. 9:30 a.m.: To consider a Conditional Use Permit Application by Jason Schroepfer, on property described as part of SW4 of NW4 Sec 31 - Twp 108N - R 32W, Albin Township, Brown County, for the purpose of allowing the use of an existing machine shed for a truck/trailer repair business along with a trucking business in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District.
2. 9:45 a.m.: To consider a Conditional Use Permit Application by MR?Paving (Eugene and Kay Ludewig owners) on property described as part of NE4 of NW4 and part of Lot B of NW4 Sec 29 - Twp 109N - R 33W, Leavenworth Township in Brown County, Minnesota, for the purpose of allowing for a gravel mine operation to include extraction, processing (crushing) equipment and a hot mix plant in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District.
3. 10 a.m.: To consider a Conditional Use Permit Application by Robert and Kathy Goblirsch on property described as part of the SE4 Sec 27 - Twp 109N - R 32W, Stark Township, Brown County, for the purpose of renewing existing CUP #C-3 to continue to allow up to 936 AU (3120 head) in a hog wean to fishing feedlot operation in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District.
4. 10:15 a.m.: To consider a Conditional Use Permit Application by Craig Holm on property described as part of the SE4 of SW4 Sec 33 - Twp 109N - R 31W, Sigel Township, Brown County, for the purpose of renewing existing CUP #C-1 to continue to allow up to 936 AU (3120 head) in a hog wean to finish feedlot operation in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District.
Notice is further given that the above hearings will be held by the Brown County Planning Commission on Monday, March 7, 2011,  beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room 204 of the Brown County Courthouse, New Ulm, Minnesota, at which time you may appear if  you so desire, either in person or by agent or attorney, in opposition to, or support of, the proposed Plat or Conditional Use Permits.
Hearings of these appeals are not limited to those receiving copies of this Notice, and if you know of any neighbor or affected property owner who, for any reason, has not received a copy, it would be appreciated if you would inform them of this public hearing.
A copy of each proposed request is on file in the Brown County Planning and Zoning Office, Brown County Courthouse, 14 South State Street, New Ulm, Minnesota, and may be viewed during regular business hours. If you have any concerns over the proposed use of the property, then please submit your input either in person or in writing, to the Planning Commission.

PUBLIC NOTICE BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT

Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 7th day of March, 2011, at the hour of 8:30 a.m., in the Commissioners Room 204 of the Brown County Courthouse, New Ulm, Minnesota, the Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on the following:
1. 8:30 a.m.: To consider a variance application of Warren Hauger (DeMaris Hauger - owner)  on property described as W2 of Block 5 Schotzko’s Second Subdivision in the W2 of SW4, Sec 19 - Twp 109N - R 34W, Burnstown Township, Brown County Minnesota.
Description of Variance: To allow a reduction in the front yard setback from the required 125 feet to 101 feet from County Road 4 and to allow a reduction from the required 10 feet to 7 feet from the side property line (North) for construction for the purpose of constructing 72 x 42 machine shed in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District.
2. 8:45 a.m.: To consider a variance application of Richard and Rose Martinka on property described as part of SW4 of SW4, Sec 7 - Twp 109N - R 32W, Stark Township, Brown County Minnesota.
Description of Variance: To allow a reduction in the front yard setback from the required 110 feet to 65 feet from the township road and to allow a reduction from the required 20 feet to 5 feet from and existing septic system for the purpose of construction a 30 x 40 garage in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District.

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Leavenworth Township, County of Brown, State of Minnesota, that the annual election of town officers and annual town meeting will be held on Tuesday, the March 8, 2011, at the Leavenworth Town Hall. In case of inclement weather, the meeting and election will be postponed and held on March 15, 2011, the third Tuesday in March.

The election and poll hours will be open from 5 to 8 p.m., at which time voters will elect:

One supervisor for a term of three years and
One treasurer for a term of two years

The annual meeting will commence at 8:05 p.m., to conduct all necessary business of this township, prescribed by law.
