With the winter season winding down, now is a good time to recognize all the volunteers who have made the numerous sports tournaments Sleepy Eye has hosted run smoothly.
This past week was a prime example of how it takes a community to raise a child. Thursday through Sunday the Sleepy Eye Arena was hopping with 14 squirts teams playing a combined total of 23 games (give or take a few). Workers, most unpaid, filled the place.
Saturday saw a bunch more donate their time to make a 17-team elementary basketball tournament run smoothly.
Please take the time to say thanks!
