The Sleepy Eye Economic Development Authority carried a motion to move forward with the first phase of its end goal of building a Business of Child Care house during its Monday, Sept. 22 meeting. The approval is contingent upon having certain fundraising questions answered.
Despite the mild evening and excited Homecoming crowd, the SEU football team wasn’t able to get a win at Sleepy Eye High School last Friday, losing to Mayer Lutheran 29-14.
In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, which is observed nationwide Oct. 5 - 11, the Sleepy Eye Fire Department is holding an open house at the station on Wednesday evening, Oct. 8. The department hosts an open house every other year and this is the year!
