Brown County DFL Annual Picnic on June 9
The Brown County DFL will hold its annual picnic on Monday, June 9 at Herman Heights Park in New Ulm from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Confirmed guest speakers are Jake Johnson, who is running for Congress in the 1st District, and Rep. Luke Frederick from Mankato. Others are invited. Music will be provided by Scott Sparlin.

Sleepy Eye Area Historical Society News
Summer is here and the Sleepy Eye Museum is open for the season. Hours are Thursdays and Fridays, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The historical society has been working on a refresh of the museum and exhibits and invite everyone to come for a visit. Entrance is free.
As recreational boating season kicks off, a reminder to make safety the top priority
Anglers have been common sights on waterways across Minnesota, but lakes and rivers have become much busier after the arrival of Memorial Day weekend. The long weekend represents the traditional start of the recreational boating season, when other water recreation enthusiasts join the anglers and paddlers who’ve been on the water since ice-out.
