Rural SE man injured in rollover
Emergency responders extricated a 65-year-old rural Sleepy Eye man from his vehicle after it went airborne and rolled end-over-end in a crash early Sunday on County Road 25, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office reported.Frederick Peter Moldan of 170th Street, southeast of Sleepy Eye, was driving west in a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee on County Road 25 at about 12:39 a.m.

Noah Christensen placed fifth out of 68 runners last week at the Madelia Invitational with a time of 18:18 in warm conditions.Teammate Levi Hagen placed ninth about 22 seconds later, passing two boys in a final sprint, Coach Lisa Hagen said.

Merv Speckman continues to show ’em how it’s done, repeating as champion of the Sleepy Eye Sportsmen’s Club trap season, hitting 245 out of 250 targets at 16 yards and 213 out of 250 at the farther, handicapped distance.Jim Fischer figured it was Speckman’s sixth straight title.
