The City Council on Tuesday agreed to split the cost of a $10,000 survey with the School District to see what people think about building a publicly funded community rec center, potentially with an indoor track, performing arts theater and other facilities.Sleepy Eye Schools Superintendent John Cselovszki told council members the survey company he is using intends to send the questionnaire by mail this spring to every household in the school district, which extends beyond the city limits.Councilors voted 4-0 (Scott Krzmarzick was absent) to contribute $5,000 for the survey after hearing Cselovszki present his vision of the project and questioning him about it.
