Overhaul of SEMC physical therapy space approved

Hospital Board members gave final approval last week to remodel and expand Sleepy Eye Medical Center’s physical therapy area, putting the project on a path to completion by late summer.A centerpiece of the revamped department will be a pediatric gym with a climbing wall and a ceiling rail for pediatric swings that can be used for sensory integration training, said Jamie Pendergast, SEMC’s Rehab Department manager.

The following students from Sleepy Eye have been named to the 2023 fall semester Dean’s List at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for attaining a 3.66 GPA: Alexander Joramo, Sophomore, College of Education/Human Development; John Miller, Freshman, School of Nursing; Brooklyn Moldan, Sophomore, College of Education/Human Development; and Abigail Schwartz, Freshman, College of Biological Sciences.Minnesota North College announce Lane Trebesch of Sleepy Eye was recognized for academic achievement during the Fall 2023 semester for earning a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
