The grace in Christ

I recently attended a high school awards banquet. There were so many strong young men and women. I happened to look over at one student to see in her face filled with visible sadness. She was sad because the burdens God gave her to carry prevented her from competing. It breaks a person’s heart to see a young adult realize that a door is perhaps permanently closed to them. What do you say? What do we as Christians do in that moment?

Indians advance in softball play

The Indians’ bats powered the girls to a 9-4 victory over Minnesota Valley Lutheran Tuesday in the first round of the Section 2A playoffs. Sixth-seeded Sleepy Eye started cold, committed errors and fell behind 1-0 before Katelyn Tauer evened the score in the second with a solo home run, Head Coach Sydney Geiger said.

Wildcats sweep conference titles

By Dave Forster The River Valley Wildcats girls dominated their four-team trackand- field conference meet on May 18, almosttripling second-place GFW’s score with 124 points. The boys also won their team competition, edging Minnesota Valley Lutheran 80.5 to 76 for the Tomahawk title.
