Marie Dauer, a resident at Divine Providence Community Home, turned 106 years old on April 17. A celebration was held at Divine Providence on her birthday. Staff showed their admiration by decorating the space with photos of Dauer from throughout her life, wearing her favorite color— blue, and surprising her with a special “Happy Birthday” rendition by St. Mary’s Catholic School Band and Choir students.
The Knights played a non-conference game at Maple River on Tuesday, April 18 (the only day any of the teams played last week) and won decisively. Knights 11, Maple River 0 Lacey Mathiowetz got the win on the mound giving up 1 hit, walking 2 and striking out 13.

The Indians softball team came off a great opening week, with three big wins, to face a tough opponent— the Wabasso Rabbits—in a doubleheader in Wabasso on Tuesday, April 18. The Rabbits got the best of the Indians in both games.

The Knights baseball team played the Wabasso Rabbits, in Leavenworth, on Tuesday, April 18—after the Rabbits played the Indians in town that afternoon. Knights 3, Rabbits 2 Coach Bruce Woitas said the Knights got a key hit from Owen Weiss and then went on to get the close win.
