PHN and Anytime compete to make generous food shelf donation

Powerhouse Nutrition (PHN) and Anytime Fitness of Sleepy Eye recently held a Food Drive Collection Competition for the Sleepy Eye Food Shelf. A total of 225 items, equaling 205 pounds, was collected and delivered to the food shelf. The “Pie in the Face” winner was PHN by a close 7 points. The University of Wisconsin- Superior has named Jasmyne Windschitl of Sleepy Eye to the Dean’s List (GPA of at least 3.50) for academic achievement during the Fall 2022 semester. The University of Wisconsin- Madison has named Alyssa Rubey of Sleepy Eye to the Dean’s List Honor Roll for the Fall 2022 semester.

Lights sparkle one final weekend

From Sleepy Eye Holiday Lights in Motion: “It’s time to wrap up another season…literally… and we are seeking volunteers of all ages to help take down lights at the park and/or wind up lights at St. Mary’s School Field House. This is easy work with service hours available.”

Help is needed Saturday, Jan. 7: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sportsmen’s Park and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Mary’s Field House. Sunday, Jan. 8: 8 a.m. until done at Sportsmen’s Park and 8 a.m. until done at St. Mary’s Field House.
