Sleepy Eye Public School news

This past week the joint Sleepy Eye United football committee conducted interviews for the new head coaching position. We interviewed four very good candidates. After the interview process the committee selected Bent Kucera to be the new head coach for the SEU football team for the 2022-23 season. Brent brings experience, expertise, passion and leadership to the program. The next process is going to be the hiring of assistant coaches. We are looking to conduct the search and hire the coaching staff in the near future.

Tis the season…for shopping

Cortnie Mathiowetz, and daughter Coraline, are pictured at the Sleepy Eye Craft and Vendor Show at the EventCenteron Dec.4.This is the fourth year Mathiowetz has organized this event. She said it was the biggest one yet, with 47 vendors, completing filling the Event Center floor and a big crowd of shoppers throughout the event. Mathiowetz said she will be donating the profit from the show to B the Light, a New Ulm area breast cancer support organization. Deb Moldaschel
